The model file is damaged or incomplete

The model file cannot be read as a model, usually because a download was cut short.

What it means

The engine reads a model file from its first byte, and it found something that is not a valid model, or a file that ends before it should. Usually a download was interrupted, the disk filled up, or the file is not a .gguf model at all.

What to do

• Remove the model in Settings → Models, then download it again.
• Check that the drive has room for it. The download needs the full size of the model.
• Only .gguf files work. Other formats have to be converted first.

Still stuck

Settings → Data → Open log folder has the logs, and app.log is safe to share. Open an issue with the message you saw and that log, or read Troubleshooting.
