Working in a project
Plans and tasks
A checklist you can steer, and work that carries on in the background.
For work that takes several steps, the model writes its plan down first, as a checklist, and keeps it up to date. A one-step job gets no plan.
Steering it
Tick a step, reorder it, remove it, or add one at the bottom. Your edits reach the model on its next pass, and it is told to follow your version rather than the one it wrote. Taking a step out before it gets there means it does not do it.
If a task stops before the list is finished, the panel offers Carry on with the plan, including anything you changed meanwhile.
Background tasks
Every conversation runs its own task, and several can run at once. Moving to another session, to Chat, or into Settings does not stop one.
- A running conversation is listed under Working in the sidebar
- A Finished notice appears if it ends while you are elsewhere
- A task waiting on an approval waits in its own conversation
Two tasks in one project can edit the same file. Draggy does not stop that, so give parallel tasks separate work.
